Last summer, I bought a disposable film camera and used it sparingly for three months. When I got back the digital copies from the camera shop, the photos weren’t amazing. The composition is off, the colours are not as vibrant as I’d like it to be, the shadows too harsh – but I grew intrigued. It was my summer in 36 frames, and there’s care in the limitations of film.

Roadtrip to Margaret River

Last month, I bought my own point and shoot (Olympus AZ-1) from Facebook market. I’m still very much on my learners, teaching myself the basics of photography as I go.

So, this blog serves as an experiment and to document my journey in film photography.

I just handed my roll of Kodak Gold to the camera shop the other day, here’s hoping my next roll does not come out blank!
